Shopify Line Sheet FAQ: Every Question Answered

Sheetfolio is a Shopify app that generates wholesale line sheets, PDF catalogs and price lists from the products already in your store. You pick a collection, a template and where the wholesale price comes from; the app builds the PDF, runs a preflight check first, and saves the definition so you can refresh it with today's data later.

From the Shopify App Store, with one click from your Shopify admin. The app asks for read access to products and opens inside your admin under Apps. There is no separate account to create and nothing to configure before your first catalog.

A line sheet is the document wholesale buyers order from: one image per style, name, SKU, sizes and colours as a grid, wholesale and retail price, your terms and contact. A visual catalog shows the products larger with fewer per page; a price list has one line per variant and no images. Sheetfolio has a template for each.

Any collection, or all active products in the store. One catalog per collection is the usual setup: a collection per season, per category or per price tier. Products are read fresh from Shopify every time you generate or refresh.

You choose per catalog: a product metafield (by default namespace custom, key wholesale_price, number or money type) or a percentage off the retail price. Products without a value show a dash in the PDF and are listed by the preflight.

In the compact line sheet each product is one row with a size × colour matrix and the SKU in each cell. In the visual catalog variants are listed under the image. In the price list each variant is its own line with SKU and barcode. Products with more variants than one row can show are split across rows and flagged by the preflight.

Products with no image, no retail price, no wholesale price, no SKU, duplicate SKUs, no barcode (price list only), descriptions too long for the template, too many variants for one row, no vendor and missing alt text. Each finding links to the product in your admin. The app never edits anything itself.

Up to 100 products on the free plan and up to 2,000 on Pro. The limit is per catalog, not per store; a bigger store makes one catalog per collection. A 1,500-product catalog with 10,000 variants and real images renders in under a minute.

Roughly 9 KB per product with images on the compact template: 1,500 products come to about 14 MB and 300 pages. Images are fetched at the size the template prints them, which is what keeps the file small enough to email. The price list has no images and is much smaller.

A few seconds for a 50-product collection, under a minute for 1,500 products. Generation runs in the background: the page shows Queued, then Generating, then a download link, and you can leave and come back.

Yes. The same catalog definition with the same product data produces the same file, byte for byte. Page numbers do not shift between runs, so you can refer buyers to a page.

Refresh regenerates a saved catalog with today's products and prices, in the same layout with the same branding. It is how you reissue a line sheet after a price change or when new products join the collection, without rebuilding anything.

24 hours. You can send the link to buyers or download the file and attach it. After the link expires, press Refresh to get a new one. Expiring links are deliberate: they stop old prices from circulating.

Each page carries your brand name, season or edition, currency symbol and contact line in the header and footer. Logo images are planned; today the brand name is printed as text.

No. The three templates are fixed so that the output is consistent and the same from season to season. If you need a bespoke design, export a CSV and build it in InDesign or Canva; our guide on making a line sheet from Shopify covers that route.

It does not read B2B catalog prices directly. The clean setup is to keep the wholesale price in a product metafield and use it both for your Shopify B2B catalog and for the PDF, so buyers see the same price in both. A percentage-off catalog maps to the same percentage in Sheetfolio.

One scope: read products. That is products, variants, options, SKUs, barcodes, prices, images, collections and product metafields, plus the store name and currency for branding. It does not request customers, orders, draft orders, checkouts, payments or themes, and it cannot write to your store.

Your catalog definitions, a count of PDFs generated per month, and the access token Shopify issues to the app. Product snapshots are discarded after rendering. PDFs are deleted after 24 hours. When you uninstall, the token is deleted at once and the rest within 30 days.

One saved catalog, up to 100 products per catalog, two PDFs a month, and a small Made with Sheetfolio line in the PDF footer. All three templates, the preflight, Refresh and 24-hour links are included.

Pro is $9.99 per 30 days with a 7-day free trial: unlimited saved catalogs, up to 2,000 products per catalog, unlimited PDFs, no footer line and priority support. It is a Shopify app subscription, billed on your Shopify invoice.

In your Shopify admin go to Settings, then Apps and sales channels, open Sheetfolio and cancel the subscription, or simply uninstall the app. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for and drop back to the free plan afterwards.

Yes. Sheetfolio reads products, which every Shopify plan has, and does not depend on Shopify B2B or Shopify Plus. It works on Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus stores alike.
